Introduction
The Turkey Creek Trojans Youth Football and Cheer is a youth sports league created for the children of Plant city , Florida and the surrounding areas. TCT exists to promote youth football in the Plant City area, and is intended to be an instructional league that places an emphasis on the sound development of players and fundamentals of football, and strives to be a league that will inspire our youth to develop life skills of sportsmanship, character and teamwork
Volunteer
Upon signing up your football player or cheerleader, each parent is required to complete volunteer hours for the program, PER CHILD. If the hours per child are not completed nearing the end of the season, your athlete runs the risk of not participating in games until the hours have been fulfilled. There are several options to complete your volunteer hours. More information to come.
Cheerleading
Cheerleading: The Turkey Creek Trojans Cheerleading program was founded to promote a recreational cheerleading program with a major emphasis on fun, teamwork, and competitive sportsmanship. The cheerleading coaches, trainers, and team mothers are a dedicated group of people who volunteer their time and talents to coordinate each cheerleading squad. There are no try-outs and all girls registering are rostered on a team. The teams are limited to a maximum of 35 girls. Cheerleaders perform every Saturday during football season, August through December. They will participate in the FYFCA Cheer-off Competition, to be hosted by TBD. The cheerleaders may also participate in other league approved functions, such as other competitions outside of our conference, parades, exhibitions, etc.
Football
Football:
The success of our football program, is
due to the quality of our football coaches.
Many of our coaches have over ten years coaching experience, some even
more. Young or inexperienced players receive personal one-on-one
coaching of the fundamentals of contact football, quickly bringing them
up to a level to compete. Experienced players receive advanced
instruction on the intricacies of the game.Along with football instruction, emphasis is placed on other, intangible factors which affect the game, including sportsmanship, loyalty, and positive attitude. Our coaches also emphasize academic success in schools.
